I had Lipotherme (laser lipo) done about 3 months ago and wanted to share with everyone how pleased I am. I am a newbie to plastic surgery (botox junkie & laser facial rejuventation pro!), so I was excited about not "going under" for liposuction and what I really wanted was my elasticity back in my tummy. I have three kids and am very fit. However, I had that horrible crepe paper like skin that just hung over my jeans. I am now three months out and feel eighteen again!!! The procedure itself (I had mine done w/ Dr. Herzog in Dallas) was not painful, but I would recommend taking an IPod or something, because you are conscious the entire time and very aware when the doctor is using the rods and laser to break through your tissue. For me, that and the tumescent (anesthesia) that they inject into the area (for me it was my abdomen) was a really strange and somewhat uncomfortable sensation. My entire procedure was over in an hour and I was pretty sore the next day. But by the third day, I was completely back to normal activity. I'm a mom of three-- so I can't afford "time off". I was also a little freaked out by the lumps that formed in my tummy even though I wore my compression garment, but those have all dissolved, just like Dr. Herzog said they would.
Like I said, I am now three months out and my stomach looks amazing! The Lipotherme even did some contouring so I look like I have definition!!! I was told to come in at 4 months for my "after" pictures and I am suppose to see the full results about 6 months post. Just wanted to tell y'all in case anyone is looking into it and needed to hear firsthand...
