Ok.... I am a month (almost) from liposuction and a Fat injection into my fanny. I feel like throwing myself on the floor and having a good cry. Never in my life have I been so self conscious of my legs. We have a pool in our back yard and I have yet to swim with anyone but my husband and my kids. I have some deep bruising on my outer thighs where my bruising was solid purple in the beginning. It is now looking like my outer thighs are discolored and I am wondering if it is still just bruising or if this is what I get? Will it ever go away. My inner thighs both have a wierd bulging on both side in exactly the same spot. This actually gives me a tad bit of hope in that if my doc made a mistake - It is hard to imagine the exact same mistakes on both sides of my legs. I am praying it is swelling that remains. Immediately post op I had gained 5 lbs. I weighed myself going out the door and coming back in. So I know that i got 5 lbs of liquid injected. I am now to my preop weight and down 1 lb is all. I went to the doc yesterday and he told me I was still swollen and I was wondering if he was just being hopeful that I would not scream at him. He would not take photos he said for After Shots because I was not ready for them.... (HE SAYS) I am hoping he is right and I have a long way to go. My butt - I have to say I am happy with - I had a flat bum and now it is a bit rounded out and looks good. I am happy about that. This thighs are another story. Does anyone have a comment on these big circular discolorations on my thighs. I am keeping them out of the sun....and wondering if it is permanent discoloration? What about these two bulging areas? Permanent or just swelling? What happened to you?
I do regret this... I came home and in an effort to stop the draining and do what i think was helping my scars - I put bandaids on my wounds. Did I do something to prolong my suffering in doing so....and make it longer to heal my not allowing the needed drainage as much as it should have been?
